THE UNEXPECTED

Sometimes it happens to find a unique product. You
perceive the differences in texture and perspective, in its essence and design
and every detail represents the unexpected. This is what happens with
MATERICA’s notebooks: their paper is thick and porous; their cover is cut to
let you glimpse the internal artwork; the surface, with its geometrical design,
reminds you of braille text; the back spine looks like sewed by hand-woven
threads. A precious and unique object realized for those who can truly
appreciate it.

THE UNIFYING MATERIA

MATERICA line selects high quality products realized
by joining special Fedrigoni papers to works of artists which draw inspiration
from concreteness of materials for their own creations. These papers are unique
thanks to cotton fibres which donate softness to the surface and particular
fibres of pure cellulose which give volume and ensure a high mechanical
resistance. These paper doughs are produced with 25% of ECF (Elementary
Chlorine Free) pure virgin cellulose, 20% of recovered fibres, 40% of CTMP
cellulose and 15% of cotton fibres. All the materials are FSC certified, from
forests and supply chains responsibly managed respectful of environmental.

SUDDENLY (2019)

Painted by Brunella Rossi for ÆRIAL with Carrara and
Trento white marble powders, pure red cadmium pigment and other different types
of sand, on handcrafted paper realized by Fabriano master craftsman. A wall
bas-relief realized with white Italian materials, in which suddenly bursts in
an impetuous red cadmium trait that draws the eye of the observer on its
brightness.

This painting donates a sense of infinite openness,
with an immediately recognizable mark on the Italian art scene.
